Pisgah Park in Charles County, Maryland is Officially Open!

This morning at 10:30am Charles County held the official ribbon cutting ceremony for it’s newest recreational park in Pisgah, MD. Never heard of Pisgah? Don’t worry, you’re not alone! Pisgah is located between La Plata, MD and Indian Head, MD. The new park, which has been several years in the making, was mostly funded through program Open Space, and the new park is 234 acres!

The park includes an awesome playground for kids, several baseball, football, and soccer fields, and a half mile walking trail. It’s a great addition to the county’s recreational resources, and sorely needed in an area that, until now, didn’t have any sort of nearby park to offer local residents.
