I’m Determined to Find Things to Do in Southern Maryland!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people complain about how there’s nothing to do in Southern Maryland. From bored residents and clients that I’ve worked with in the past to conversations I’ve overheard while shopping at the local mall, the concept that Southern Maryland is boring is pervasive.
It’s also categorically untrue. quite often I find myself suffering because there’s TOO MUCH going on, and I’ve yet to perfect that cloning machine I’ve been working on for the last few years. The gripe has led me to establish a resource to prove these naysayers wrong. I’ve developed a new website called 365 Things to do in Southern Maryland.
Here’s the goal: Every day I will write a new blog post that features either a new place to visit, a kitschy cool local business, or a great local restaurant that I’ve tried and enjoyed. By December of next year I will have hopefully made some new friends, learned more about our area, and most importantly, shared some of Southern Maryland’s rich culture with all of you.
Here’s the challenge: I can’t do this without your help! Tell me what YOU LOVE about Southern Maryland, where the best places are to visit, and help me discover what makes Southern Maryland great! The more suggestions I get, the better this project will be! Double Kudos if you happen to be a local business owner or event planner who wants to share your information with the rest of Southern Maryland! Let’s show SoMD what a great place we live in and help support local businesses and residents at the same time!

Quite the resource you put together there, I’ll be sure to check it out the next time I’m find myself with nothing to do. Quick question though, what happened to Days 1-7? Can’t find them on the site.
Wow, good catch Chris! I actually started the site on Facebook, and the first 14 days were before the website was built. I’ve gotten half of the posts from the first 2 weeks up, but it’s just a matter of time until I write the other posts.
